I want to welcome you to our vocation page. If you have found your way to this page, it may mean that God is somehow calling you to something greater. God has many ways of getting the message across. My work as Vocation Director is to help young women who are discerning and searching to discover what God is calling them to do with their lives. Yes, the call is from God and the response comes from you. I challenge you to take that next step, and to surrender everything to Him. Now that you are here, I invite you to come and visit us. You might also want to consider joining us for our discernment retreats and monthly recollection.
God bless you!
Sr. Fatima
The call to consecrated life as a Sister of Our Lady of Sorrows is discerned in an intense relationship with Jesus, listening to his Word and remaining at the foot of the cross. The formation process helps the person is helped to become aware of her own experience of Christ. Mindful of the personal experience of those entering the Congregation and the individuality of each person, the Congregation must ensure that the person in formation reaches a deep and true knowledge of herself, of society, and a solid Christian faith. In introducing the person in formation to apostolic activity, she must be given the opportunity to have a variety of experiences, and to reflect on them so that she may discover her gifts and talents and grow in her ability to give of herself.
